Ascendance Idealease, based in Harrisburg, PA, recently volunteered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to package meals for families in need. On Saturday, May 20, 2023, staff from Ascendance Idealease assisted the Food Bank with a series of tasks that packaged a total of 300 boxes for its various programs.
The volunteers helped package a run of 200 boxes for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) that directly benefits the Seniors in the local community. Additionally, the group helped assemble another 100 packages of the Food Bank’s Crisis Recovery Boxes (CRB) that create a great selection of healthy, shelf-stable items. The CRB Boxes populate the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s inventory that more than 1,300 partner agencies throughout the 27 counties in its service area can order and hand out to individuals and families in need.
Ascendance Idealease is an active advocate of the Idealease CARES program. Idealease CARES is a community support initiative, formed by Idealease, Inc., North America’s premier full-service commercial truck leasing, rental and maintenance company. The program shines a light on the collective community service, charitable causes, and the contributions of Idealease locations across North America.
“Ascendance Idealease is proud to support the Idealease CARES program,” said Collin Dean, General Manager of Ascendance Idealease. “This program is an important part of the Ascendance core values of helping to foster stability in our local community, and we are honored that we could give back to such an organization like the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.”
